Since its introduction over 20 years ago software design systems have continued to evolve and 20-20 Technologies, the market leader, has led the way in system development.
The popularity of the 20-20 Fusion program led to 20-20 Technologies introducing separate corporate and independent divisions.
The corporate accounts team work closely with customers to provide tailored data solutions, catalogue creation, special features and more, which often have to be integrated into large corporate retailers own databases, complex purchasing and ordering systems.
The 20-20 corporate accounts team work alongside kitchen, bathroom and appliance manufacturers to produce up-to-date catalogues for use within 20-20 Fusion. All the latest information about products including furniture, worktops, suites, lighting, appliances and more are regularly updated. When a crossover is possible, these manufacturers’ catalogues are then made available to the independent market, which contain invaluable information to independent retailers who are able to offer their customers reliable information.
When a manufacturer’s catalogue is created for use within 20-20 Fusion and is produced with bespoke functionality, the corporate team are sometimes then able to provide these benefits to independent retailers. One example of this is the ability to call up specific appropriate appliances from different catalogues. If an oven housing is added to the design, 20-20 Fusion is able to identify appropriate ovens from all of the appliance manufacturers catalogues on the system for the type of housing being used. On top of this it can also suggest other associated products, such as a matching microwave.
This brings huge benefits to the independent retailer, and totally eliminates the problems of having to check through printed literature for images and range information. It saves time and money and also allows the end consumer to know exactly what products they are getting and how it will look.
In the development of these bespoke systems, 20-20 Technologies has been able to identify other opportunities that can cross over and benefit the independent retailer, not just in the UK but sometimes across the entire international network. One major example of this is the knowledge gained to enable the Integration of 20-20 Fusion with other industry standard business systems, allowing a one-stop-shop for the retailer.
For one corporate customer we included a 20-20 Fusion tool “render server” to help the installation team. It allows design processing to be done externally allowing the installers to log-in independently and be able to print off all the details they need to complete the job, including dimensions, plans, elevations and any images they need. This feature will be available as an add-on in the future to the independent retail market.
20-20 Technologies Lee Clark commented: “One of the main reasons we have been able to develop 20-20 Fusion into the success it is today is because we have a dedicated development team who are continually looking to improve the system. We have learned a lot from developing corporate solutions that can be crossed over to improve the offering of the program to the Independent retail market.
