The value of being able to provide customers with a high quality design of their new kitchen or bathroom is clear to Home Improvement Retailer Wickes. 20-20 Technologies develops the leading kitchen and bathroom design software for the home improvement sector and has been working in partnership with Wickes for almost 20 years. They have recently completed a full overhaul and update of the Wickes bespoke 20-20 Fusion system. The overall included the full range of Wickes kitchen and bathroom products and has resulted in an increased in sales volume.
20-20 Fusion is renowned for its superior graphics and unrivalled presentation quality. This includes subtle lighting, and real time interaction, the software is able to capture the imagination of the customer by producing inspirational designs.
The improvements mean that 20-20 Fusion is embedded into Wickes systems, allowing a seamless link between the two. The 20-20 Fusion system includes the full design package, which can exchange information with the Wickes existing business systems, which store customer information and product pricing without the Wickes Design Consultants having to physically change from one system to the other Wickes designers can also enjoy the simplicity of the system which cleverly automatically updates and stores the relevant product codes as the kitchen or bathroom design is progressing. If the customer changes their mind about any particular aspect of the design or the designer wants to make changes, the product codes update which saves the Design Consultants time and ensures mistakes are not made in the order.
Craig Rothwell of 20-20 Technologies explains: “Attention to detail has ensured that Wickes has a state of the art system available to them. Within the product catalogue data they have built in some bespoke functionality which highlights associated products. For example in a bathroom design, the system may highlight taps, or different showerheads that are available. This is an excellent sales aid.”
The system also includes a design validation tool which has been tailored specifically for Wickes, which will tell the designer if any products are missing from the design, for example cornice, shower tray etc. It also includes the 20-20 Fusion tool “render server” which is proving to be a great service to the installation team at Wickes. It allows design processing to be done externally allowing the installers to log-in independently and be able to print off all the details they need to complete the job, including dimensions, plans, elevations and any images they need.
Stuart Harris of Wickes said: “The updated 20-20 Fusion program is much more intuitive and gives the customer a greater level of realism and an emotionally positive buying experience. Sales of kitchens and bathrooms to customers using 20-20 Fusion have significantly increased, proving the value of good data and communication.”
Craig Rothwell of 20-20 Technologies explained; “Consumers are now much more informed and they have come to expect good quality and inspirational renderings. Wickes customers are no exception and they clearly appreciate the detail of design they are presented with.”
Built as a professional design and sales software package, 20-20 Fusion provides designers with advanced features and the tools to take the customer right through to finished installation, from 2D layouts to a full set of architectural drawing tools including window, door and appliance libraries to help them place the design in a real-world environment.
